In July this year we were privileged to be invited to the “Drammies”; the awards ceremony for Silchester Players (akin to the Oscars).
Oli acted with the theatre company for several years, and now our son Joe does the same, and it was wonderful to see Joe receive his award for best supporting actor.
The theatre company allocates some of the proceeds from each production to local charities, and it was an absolute honour to receive £2,000 for The Olibob Arts Foundation from theatre member Tristan Quittenton. We were also able to share with the audience how the charity operates and how we’ve impacted so many young people with the drama projects we’ve supported so far.
